Set a Roaring 20's Resolution

100 years ago, we saw a rise in people living in the city, abandoning farm life. Over the course of the 20s, America’s wealth doubled! This was prohibition era - alcohol was outlawed, but made available at illegal speakeasies controlled by bootleggers or racketeers! We saw the rise of the ‘flapper’ icon - young women who smoked, drank, and said ‘unladylike things. Mass culture became prominent - Americans finally had disposable income to spend on clothes, electric fridges, radios, and cars! This was the JAZZ age! People just wanted to use their cars to go out and dance! Lastly, women could vote!
